Dutch Double Bass Festival is the double bass festival of the Netherlands. Classical, jazz, contemporary music, avant-garde and pop, all centered around the double bass. The first edition can be visited on May 20th and 21st, 2017 at De Electriciteitsfabriek in The Hague. They have a genuine 1A First Alternative Stage.
The Dutch Double Bass Festival is an initiative of double bassist James Oesi. This virtuoso studied in South Africa, New York and Moscow. Eventually he gratuated summa cum laude at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he works as an assistant professor.
Internationally leading double bassists
For this first edition James has managed to put together a rich program. He has managed to contract two internationally renowned double bass players. For the first time, and exclusively, Adam Ben Ezra from Israel and Minje Sung from Korea will be performing in the Netherlands.
Dutch Double Bass Festival
When we were approached to sponsor the festival, we seized this unique opportunity immediately. Culture is something people do together, and that is after all one of our core values. Besides that, music just sounds awesome when the double bass is present. On the website of the Dutch Double Bass Festival you can listen to various songs on Spotify. Also, you can pre-socialize on their Facebook-pagina.
We are proud that the Dutch Double Bass Festival has a genuine 1A First Alternative Stage!
