This is an important announcement regarding the security of your 1A-server.
Digital traffic can be encrypted with a certificate. Your 1A-server includes such a certificate. If you have purchased your own certificate (eg. server.company.com), this article does not apply to you. If you are using a standard certificate provided by 1A, then please read on.
More and more web browsers will no longer show websites with 1024-bit RSA certificates. The current default certificate is in this format. To avoid any problems, a new standard certificate will soon be installed for all servers which do not have their own certificate installed.
Consequences of this are:
- users who have installed the “alt001.com root certificate” through the manual, must download the new version from our website and install it on their PC and other devices (tablet , phone, etc.).
- users who have added an exception for the certificate in their browser, must do so again when promped.
It is also possible to make use of the occation to have your own certificate installed on the 1A-server, eg. server.company.com
It looks neater, visitors don’t get annoying popups, in short, working secure without hinderance!
Please contact your 1A-partner to obtain your own server certificate.
